About

Cool, Calm, Connected started because Nina was desperate.

Her son had been hard since he was two. Not difficult-in-a-phase hard. The kind of hard that makes you question everything you thought you knew about parenting, and then question yourself, and then start reading at midnight because you have to figure this out.

So she read. She listened. She sat in therapy sessions and took notes. She joined the communities and tried the systems and learned the language. Six years of it. Somewhere along the way she stopped feeling lost and started feeling like she understood what was going on with her child.

Cool, Calm, Connected exists because other parents are looking for the same thing she was looking for. A place on the internet that feels honest. That isn't trying to sell them a miracle. That treats them like an intelligent adult navigating something hard, and shares what works without pretending to have all the answers.

Anne has had a front row seat to all of it, and remembers the dramas better than Nina does at this point. When you're in it with your child you don't have time to think through strategies. You default to habit. That's when it helps to have a friend who can say, remember this worked last time.

She's also the one who takes the messy raw material of what works for us and turns it into guides you can pick up and use. Cool, Calm, Connected looks and feels the way it does because of her. Our families deserve that care.
